Explore the WOW! (World of Work) with an Externship

The UT Dallas Career Center offers an Externship/Job Shadowing program (“Explore the WOW!“) for undergraduates each Spring Break.  This year’s program will be held March 14-18, 2011, but applications are available now!

Students who participate in the Externship/Job Shadowing Program are able to receive a firsthand look at the workplace in a career of their choice, make valuable networking contacts and have the opportunity to see how classroom learning can be applied to real world situations. The primary goal of this program is to provide students with a structured, hands-on opportunity to experience the “world of work,” without the longer term commitment of an internship or job.

Review the program overview, and see the timeline, position openings, application, and student spotlights from last year’s program.  Also, check out the SOYE program option for sophomores.  This is a great way to network, meet professionals, and explore the World of Work!
